Mrs. Vera Rhodes & Mrs. Helen Jones visited Mr. & Mrs. Eddie King while in Raleigh last Wed., he is real sick. Sat. to make her home there with the Ned Stainbacks. Miss Patsy Sampson is living with her Sister, Mrs. Joe Wood at Billingsville since she came from Woman’s College at Green ville. Mrs. John Broughton is doing Fair. D. R. Lucas is expecting his Brother & his Wife of Florida to move in most any day now. They 1 are coming to stay with him till they can build a home. Mrs. Lucy Bunn is not so well. She is at her Daughter’s, Mrs. Glen Dickersons in Bunn. Mrs. Annie Jones has Retired 1 from office work, and is going to catch up on a lot of things that has been left undone. Mrs. Edward Hood & Daughters, Ann Porter & Nancy Lou, are vis I iting her son, Edward Hood Jr in Ohio for a few days. Mrs. Leathia Kellums is visiting j Mrs. D. A. Gay of Kinston. Mrs. ; D. A. Gay & Mrs. Leathia Kel lumn came up to see Mrs. Alice Hood Monday p.m. j Mrs. Mozell Massey was Din " ner Guest of Mr. & Mrs. Dewey Massey last Sunday. Graduates From Meredith College Zelma Greene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Greene of Zebu Ion, was graduated at the Mere dith College commencement, re ceiving the degree of bachelor of arts. Miss Greene, a religion major, is a graduate of Wakelon High School. At Meredith, she served as president of the Baptist Stu dent Union, whose membership numbers the full enrollment of the college. She also served as president of the Silver Shield, the honor leadership fraternity, and as president of Alpha Psi Omega, the honorary dramatics fraternity. She served on the executive board of the Meredith Playhouse, and was chosen for the cast of three plays produced by that group. She was a member of the Philaretian Society. She served as vice president of the Freeman Religion Club, on the Student Association Council, on the college leadership council and the college chapter of the National Education Association. She served on the Nominating Committee, the May Day committee and the Jun ior-Senior committee. For four years she was on the executive committee of the annual fall homecoming plays, and was chos en as a college counselor. Miss Greene maintained “Dean’s List” honor scholastic rating throughout her college ca reer, and was selected by faculty student vote to be one of the 12 students who represent Meredith in the current edition of the stu dents’ “Who’s Who.” This summer, she is a counselor at Camp Seafarer, a girls' camp at Arapahoe.
